MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - In its regular season finale, Baylor soccer fell 2-0 at No. 10 West Virginia on Friday evening at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The Mountaineers (14-2-2, 7-0-1 Big 12) used bookend goals in the second half to take down the Bears (8-8-2, 2-5-1 Big 12).
Despite being outshot 11-3 in the first half, the Bears went into the break tied 0-0. Unfortunately, WVU kept the shots coming in the second half (14-0) and took a lead it would not relinquish in the 52nd minute.
The goal came off a cross by Jess Crowder that was headed in by Michaela Abam. Abam was at it again in the 86th minute to close out the game as she took a pass from Kelsie Maloney inside the six, turned and fired to the back of the net.
