WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team announced three signees Wednesday for the Bears' 2015 class. The Bears added Shelly Fanning, Amanda Lesikar and Jordan Vail; all three will be expected to be on the court next fall.

The Bears will bulk up the middle with two players ranked on PrepVolleyball.com's 2015 Senior Aces list. Fanning checks in at No. 67 on the list while Vail is ranked No. 14; both players are middle hitters.

Fanning signs with Baylor out of Houston, Texas, she plays her high school ball at Cypress Ranch High School and plays club with the Texas Tornados.

"Shelly is the most complete player at her position, out of high school, that we have seen," said Baylor head coach Jim Barnes. "She's a physical player with very efficient skills; she will be a force on both offense and defense. She played for a highly-respected club, and she will graduate early and begin classes at Baylor in January."

Vail comes to the Bears from San Antonio where she played high school ball at Judson High School and was a member of the Alamo Juniors club team.

"Jordan is clearly one of the top athletes in the country and was a highly recruited player, including the University of Texas," said Barnes. "She has all-American potential and will make an impact on our program."

Lesikar signs with Baylor out of Austin and is expected to be a leftside hitter for the Bears. She played high school ball at Hendrickson and is a member of the Austin Juniors club program.

"Amanda is a very accomplished player, and plays a very mature game as a six-rotation player," said Barnes. "She played for a highly-respected club, and like Shelly, she is expected to graduate early and begin attendance at Baylor in January."

Baylor is expected to add players in the spring semester as well to fill out the 2015 signing class. Barnes said that when all is said and done, he expects the 2015 signing class to be among the top classes ever signed at Baylor.
