FLUSHING, N.Y. - Baylor women's tennis sophomore
Blair Shankle lost her opening match at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships versus Pepperdine's Lorraine Guillermo, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, Thursday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
The 78th-ranked Shankle got out to a fast start on No. 20 Guillermo, but was unable to hold the momentum.
The BU sophomore falls to 5-3 on the season and 2-3 against nationally ranked foes.
