FLUSHING, N.Y. - Baylor men's tennis junior
Julian Lenz picked up two more victories in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships singles consolation draw Saturday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
The wins pushed Lenz into the bracket's finale on Sunday.
To open his day, the top-ranked Lenz downed 18th-ranked Denis Nguyen of Harvard, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6. He then took out Stanford's Thomas Fawcett, 6-3, 6-4, in the semifinal round.
HIGHLIGHTS
? Lenz improved to 6-2 on the season in fall collegiate play.
? Lenz is 4-2 versus ranked foes.
? Lenz becomes the first BU player to reach the event's consolation final since Patrick Pradella accomplished the feat last season.
