Dec. 1, 2014 Complete 2014 All Big 12 Volleyball Team WACO, Texas - Baylor junior outside hitter Andie Malloy was the ninth player in school history to be named All Big 12 First Team Monday, the league office announced. Malloy, a junior from Allen, Texas ranked second in the Big 12 in kills per set and double-doubles for the 2014 regular season.
Baylor has now had 13 first-team selections since the league formed in 1998 with Elisha Polk, Stevie Nicholas, Taylor Barnes an Anna Breyfogle all being honored twice.
Malloy, a transfer from Iowa State, sat out 2013 due to Big 12 transfer rules, but she made an impact in her first season with the Bears. Malloy finished the year with 447 kills, which averaged 3.89 per set. She also finished the year with 17 double-doubles and both marks were good for second among all Big 12 players.
Malloy finished the year with seven matches with at least 20 kills including a career-high 24 in a four-set win at Texas Tech, Oct. 1. She finished the regular season ranked eighth in the Big 12 in digs per set at 3.03.
Baylor finished the season at 14-17 overall and 4-12 in Big 12 competition.
