BAYLOR POSTGAME NOTES
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
• Tonight's game was the 174th meeting in the all-time series. Baylor now leads 93-81, including a 38-40 mark in games played in Fort Worth and a 4-0 record in Big 12 Conference games.
• Baylor is 54-3 when leading at halftime since 2011-12, including an 11-1 mark this season.
• Baylor is 32-51 in February in the Drew era, including a 21-16 record since 2010.
• Baylor is 159-78 since the start of the 2007-08 season.
• Baylor has won 20 of its last 29 games dating back to last season, with six of the nine losses coming against ranked teams.
• Head coach Scott Drew earned his 193rd career win, moving him within eight of tying Bill Henderson's school record.
• Baylor has its 8th consecutive season with 15 or more wins after snapping a streak of five straight seasons without reaching that mark. The program's longest previous streak of 15-win seasons was four straight (1967-68 through 1970-71).
TEAM NOTES
• Baylor's 16 3-pointers made tied its most-ever in a Big 12 game - BU also made 16 at Texas A&M on Jan. 28, 2006.
• Baylor has made at least one 3-point field goal in 718 consecutive games - the 2nd-longest active streak in the Big 12 (Texas). The last time Baylor did not connect from 3-point range was Feb. 21, 1990 vs. Texas Tech.
• Baylor scored 49 points in the first half. The Bears had 51 first-half points when the teams met in Waco on Jan. 11.
• Baylor's 13 first-half assists tied the most by the Bears before halftime this season - the Bears also had 13 against Hardin-Simmons on Dec. 1.
• Baylor had a 45-18 rebounding advantage, surpassing the 40-rebound mark for the 11th time this season (9-2 in those games). The Bears are 73-19 in the Drew era when grabbing 40+ rebounds.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Josh Clemons, a 27-year-old Air Force veteran, made his Baylor debut, playing the final 1:35 in the game.
• Isaiah Austin (14 points) scored in double figures for the 15th time this season and the 42nd time in his career.
• Austin reached double figures before halftime (14 points) for the 2nd straight game - he had 16 prior to the break at OU.
• Austin had a career-high-tying 5 assists, did not turn the ball over, and added 4 blocks.
• Brady Heslip (season-high 24 points; 8-of-12 3FGs) hit a season-high eight 3-pointers - it was his 4th career game with 8 or more treys made.
• Heslip hit three or more 3-pointers in a game for the 48th time in 98 career games played. He's hit four or more 3-pointers 30 times, five or more 3-pointers 14 times, six or more 3-pointers 8 times and seven or more 3-pointers 4 times.
• Heslip has made at least four 3-pointers in each of the last five games (his only starts this season).
• Cory Jefferson started his 61st consecutive game after beginning the streak with one start in his first 55 games played.
• Jefferson (10 points) had his 18th double-figure scoring game of the season and 48th of his career (BU is 36-11+X in those games).
• Rico Gathers (14 points, 11 rebounds) had his 4th double-double of the season and the 7th of his career. He scored in double figures for the 9th time this season and 13th time in his career (BU is 12-1 in those games).
• Gathers has scored in double figures in 8 of the last 14 games after doing so in 5 of his 46 previous games at Baylor.
• Royce O'Neale (10 points) scored in double figures for the 4th time this season and first time since Nov. 27.
• O'Neale tied his season-high with 8 rebounds, and he added 4 assists.
• Kenny Chery returned to the starting lineup after not starting the last 3 games while recovering from a turf toe injury. He had 7 assists, his 2nd-most in Big 12 play behind the 8 assists he had at Kansas on Jan. 20.
