VB Faces Unfamiliar Opponents at GWU Tourney

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Baylor's volleyball team will face three teams Friday and Saturday that the Bears have faced a combined two times in the school's history. The Bears travel to George Washington University to compete in the Colonials Challenge that includes matches with Illinois State, GWU and Columbia.
Baylor (5-2) begins the tournament Friday at 11 a.m. CDT vs. Illinois State (4-4) before facing the hosts, GWU (5-1) at 6 p.m. The Bears close the tournament Saturday at 11 a.m. vs. Columbia (3-0).
The Bears last faced Illinois State in a three-set loss Sept. 2, 1995, last faced GWU Nov. 14, 1992 in a four-set loss, and have never faced Columbia in the program's history.
Baylor enters the weekend as the Big 12's leader in assists (13.96) and kills (14.96) per set.
