WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team (9-5, 0-0) opens Big 12 play Saturday at 7 p.m. at Kansas State (13-1, 0-0) at the Ahearn Field House in Manhattan, Kan.

Baylor enters Big 12 play on a three-match losing skid, but the Bears are ahead of pace from last year's team, which entered conference play with an 8-8 record. Prior to dropping two matches to LSU and one to UTSA last weekend at UTSA's Roadrunners Classic, Baylor had won five-straight matches.

Kansas State enters the match on an 11-match winning streak, and the Wildcats have won nine straight contests at the Ahearn Field House.

Baylor ranks No. 1 in the Big 12 in kills per set at 14.28, and the Bears will put that to the test against KSU's blocking game, which ranks second in the league at 2.99 per set.
