THE RUNDOWN
MANSFIELD, Texas ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" Baylor men's tennis junior Max Tchoutakian secured a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Illinois senior Jared Hiltzik Wednesday in the first round of the singles main draw at the Futures of Mansfield.
Playing at the Walnut Creek Country Club, Tchoutakian, ranked No. 31 in the ITA rankings, upset the 12th-ranked Illini veteran in the ITF Pro Circuit event.
The win advances the BU junior into the second round of the 32-man main draw.
WHAT'S NEXT
On Thursday, Tchoutakian will face Australia's Aleksandar Vukic in main draw round of 16 action.
