THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team (16-12, 4-10 Big 12) fell to the 5th-ranked Texas Longhorns (23-2, 13-1 Big 12) on Wednesday at the Gregory Gymnasium, 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

A season-high 12 service errors and a 10-5 blocking deficit proved to be too much for the Bears to overcome, playing in front of a packed house.

Playing a tight first set, Baylor looked to keep it close and put pressure on the Longhorns. Opening up a 4-2 lead in the second set, BU had the opportunity to push back and take the driver's seat. UT answered back with 6-0 run to regain a lead that they would not lose.

In the third set, UT jumped out to an early 6-2 lead. The Bears responded, rattling off a 5-0 run to take a 7-6 lead, forcing a UT timeout. The sides swapped points until a 10-10 tie was broken by a 9-3 Texas run, putting the Longhorns comfortably ahead to close out the match in three.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Andie Malloy had a match-high 14 kills, good for a .306 attacking percentage and adding five digs.

- Amy Rosenbaum led the Bears with a team-high 31 assists, her second consecutive match with 30 or more assists.

- Katie Staiger was the only other BU player with double-digit kills, adding 10 kills and six digs.

- The loss in Austin is BU's 28th consecutive loss to the Longhorns and the 37th consecutive loss in Austin.
