- Baylor and Texas A&M played the 207th "Battle of the Brazos" ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" the Bears had won six straight in the series and are 10-10 under Scott Drew but the Aggies lead the overall series 128-79 and 75-30 in College Station (team's last met Dec. 9, 2014, in Waco for a 77-63 Baylor win).
- Baylor is 103-43 when ranked in the AP poll, 6-6 when ranked No. 16 and 27-4 in December when ranked.
- Baylor is 8-7 against top-25 ranked teams since the start of the 2014-15 season.
- Baylor is 156-272 all-time against the SEC.
- Baylor is 7-1 against SEC teams since the start of the 2012-13 season.

- Senior Lester Medford (season-high 16 points) scored in double figures for the fourth time this season and 17th time in his career.
- Freshman Jake Lindsey (6 assists) set a career high in assists.
