- Gathers tallied his fifth double figure rebounding game of the season and 44th of his career.
- Gathers scored in double figures for the seventh time this season and 42nd time in his career.
- Gathers recorded his fifth double-double of the season and 29th of his career. He has sole possession of second on Baylor's all-time double-doubles list -- Brian Skinner (1995-98) is the program leader with 34 career double-doubles.
- Gathers posted a season-best scoring effort by a Baylor player. It is the second-straight games that a BU player has had 30 or more points (Taurean Prince, 30).
- Gathers picked up his 80th career win to move past Brady Heslip (2011-14) for sole possession of 8th on Baylor's all-time wins list.
