EVANSTON, Ill. - The sixth-ranked Baylor women's tennis team recorded a 5-1 victory at No. 33 Northwestern (3-3) inside the Combe Tennis Center Friday.

In singles, No. 92 James-Baker kept the momentum rolling as bested Rooney, 6-3, 6-1 at the bottom of the lineup. The 37th-ranked Shankle flew past Chatt, 6-3, 6-2, at the No. 3 position to give the Bears a 3-0 lead.
Northwestern carded its only point of the day when No. 125 Generette was upset by Larner, 6-0, 6-4, on court two.
From that point, Baylor slammed the door. The 23rd-ranked Burgic took down Barnett, 6-2, 6-3, at the top of the lineup to clinch the victory.
