KANSAS CITY - Baylor soccer earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2014-15 Team Academic Award, the organization announced Wednesday.

The Bears combined for a 3.46 team cumulative grade point average to garner the honor for the fourth time in the last five years (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015). Among NCAA women's teams, BU is one of 552 recognized. The Bears are one of eight teams in the Big 12 to be honored.

To qualify for the award that started in 1996, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
