WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team (11-3, 0-1 Big 12) hosts its Big 12 home opener with the Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-4, 1-1 Big 12) on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. in the Ferrell Center.
Baylor dropped their Big 12 opener on the road at Kansas State on Saturday, 3-0.
The Bears were led by freshman Shelly Fanning, who tied for a match-high 13 kills, while hitting an efficient .545 in the match.
Baylor trails the all-time series with the Red Raiders by a 27-47 margin, but the Bears have won four of the last five meetings. Their last meeting in 2014 was a four-set victory for BU in Lubbock on Oct. 24.
The match marks the first home televised match of the season, as FOX Sports Plus will be broadcasting live from the Ferrell Center.
