Opening Statementà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"One of two things usually happen on Senior Night. Either you come out really emotional and play really well, or you come out really emotional and you try too hard and you don't make many shots, and that's what happened to us. I think it's a positive thing that everybody wanted to see the seniors end on a positive note, and I think that shows how much they care for the seniors. How much they like them, how much they respect them. We really appreciate them. At the same time, it makes it real difficult when you shoot 31 percent against a top 10 team in the nation. And this makes it back-to-back games where free-throw shooting has really hurt us. That's an area where we need to get better, and the other is turnovers. You can't turn it over against a quality team like that."
On the tough first halfà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"Sometimes when you're so emotional in the first half, you get in the locker room and you're deflated. I think we struggled offensively, but I think we were really good defensively. They deserve all the credit. They got buckets. For us to beat a team like that, you've got to play better defense than that, especially when you're struggling offensively."
On the offensive endà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"Their defense is good, but we missed some shots in the first half. We missed some shots in the second half. We actually made some tougher shots and missed some easier ones, but West Virginia is a good team. Not taking anything away from them."
On struggling to open the gameà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"We know when we start off well and lead at half, I think we've only lost one game. We know the importance of getting off to a quick and good start."
Senior Taurean Prince On falling behind in the second halfà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"I think we were less active coming out in the second half. We still had a chance to win the game, but things happened. They started rotating a little better on their press, but their rotating shouldn't have caused our turnovers. We were making poor decisions."
On West Virginia's defenseà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"They did a lot to speed us up. I wouldn't say it took us out of our offense. We don't play that fast. I don't think they necessarily took us out of what we wanted to do, but we just made poor decisions when we did get the ball. I had three turnovers, so I'll take some responsibility for that."
Senior Rico Gathers
On the overall gameà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"Real disappointing. For us to go to out with an 'L' on my Senior Night is real emotional, especially when you're fouling out. At the end of the day, we've got to move past this point of the regular season and get over it. Now it's time to play for something bigger than one game and one day."
On his emotional final moments at the Ferrell Centerà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"A lot of memories have been played, been made up in this arena. So, the emotion behind not being able to play in this arena for real with things on the line ever again, it really sunk in once I fouled out. I'm the type of person ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" when I'm feeling some type of way, I let it be known. Being an emotional leader on this team, I just let it be known at that moment. I really just couldn't believe it was my last time up until that moment."

Head Coach Bob Huggins
On the defensive effortà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"Both teams struggled in the first half. We are getting better and better. Our seniors have been really good for us. This was Jevon Carter's best game he's played since he's been here. He's starting to play like a point guard."
On Jevon Carterà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"He's worked at it. He comes in and I just get shots up. He tries to score through contact, and he's been doing it everyday. I don't think he's made a layup since he's left Maywood until recently. Put time in, concentrate on getting your head on the rim and good things happen for you. He'd never been a point guard, other than AAU. Today when he gets eight assists and no turnovers that's pretty good for anybody. He's getting better and better. He wants to be a good player and I think that's the most important thing."
On his teamà ¢Ã¢' ¬ ¦
"We've got guys that like to play. I think that's the biggest thing. We got some guys that didn't like to play that left. And we got some guys that came in that really like to play. They're a lot more appreciative of the opportunities that they have at a place like West Virginia."
