- Baylor played its first-ever game as the nation's No. 1-ranked team.
- Tonight's game was the 8th matchup of top-10 teams in Baylor Basketball history ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" BU is 1-7 in those games.
- Baylor was 1 of 2 undefeated teams remaining before tonight's loss. It's the first time in program history the Bears have been one of the nation's final two undefeated teams.
- The Bears' 15-game win streak was snapped. It was the 2nd-longest in program history.
- Baylor and West Virginia met for the 11th time. Baylor leads the series 7-4, including a 3-2 mark in Morgantown.
- Baylor is 36-10 all-time when top-10 ranked and 11-3 all-time when top-5 ranked.

- Baylor tied its season-high for turnovers in a game with 16 turnovers in the first half alone.
- Baylor has made at least one 3-point field goal in 816 consecutive games ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" the second-longest active streak in the Big 12 (Texas). The last time Baylor did not connect from 3-point range was Feb. 21, 1990 vs. Texas Tech.

- Johnathan Motley (3 blocks) took over sole possession of 8th place on Baylor's career blocks list with 104.
- Al Freeman (10 points) scored in double-figures for the 10th time this season and 37th time in his career.
