WACO, Texas -- For the second-straight week, No. 23 Baylor volleyball collected its highest RPI ranking in program history, earning the No. 17 spot in the standings released by the NCAA Monday morning.

Previously at No. 20, the Bears (21-5, 11-2 Big 12) jumped three spots after a 3-0 upset win over No. 11 Kansas Saturday in Lawrence, Kan.

The No. 17 ranking surpasses the previous program high of No. 20, which the Bears achieved last Monday. BU started at No. 32 on Oct. 2 and have maintained a top-30 RPI since then.

With an 11-2 record at home, the Bears have matched last season's home win total and look to match the most wins at home since 2008 when Baylor hosts Kansas State on Wednesday.

BU has chalked up 13 wins over RPI top-115 teams, including two wins over Iowa State (15), TCU (66) and Texas Tech (121) and victories over Kansas (12), BYU (20), LSU (33), Washington State (43), Texas State (70), West Virginia (82) and Kansas State (115).

Baylor checks in as the fourth-ranked team in the Big 12 behind Texas (5), Kansas (12), and Iowa State (15).

BU's five losses on the year have all come from top-52 RPI teams, dropping matches against Texas (5), Kansas (12), Florida State (39), Hawai'i (47) and College of Charleston (52).

Baylor faces Kansas State Wednesday night at 6 p.m. CT in Waco. The match will be live on Fox Sports Southwest with John Morris (play-by-play) and Alex Banister (color analyst) on the call.
