- Baylor won its 4th regular-season tournament title of the Scott Drew era. The Bears won the 2007 Paradise Jam, the 2011 Las Vegas Classic and the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis. Drew is 4-3 in regular-season tournament title games.
- The Bears overcame a double-digit 2nd-half deficit to win in the championship game of a regular season tournament for the second straight year. BU overcame a 20-point 2nd-half deficit in the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis title game vs. Louisville and a 12-point 2nd-half deficit to beat Creighton in the 2017 Hall of Fame Classic title game.
