BAYLOR POSTGAME QUOTES

Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey
On the team's defenseÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I thought we came out after tip and we were really focused. I thought that we played hard, but after [Lauren] Cox sprained her ankle we kind of got discombobulated. Just kind of got out of the flow. We missed some shots, we stayed with it defensively, then in the third quarter we kept missing those shots when they went to a 3-2 zone, and we stayed with it on the defensive end. So we did some good things today under the circumstances."

On coming back from the break with injuries and how to handle playing timeÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"In practice, sometimes you don't have many to sub, so you're on that floor in drills and so you have to shorten the drills even more than I normally like. But because we don't have subs you have to get some work in at the same time, so it was good to play today and I hate that Lauren got hurt because she and Kalani [Brown] are playing really well together and we have been clicking lately."

On Moon Ursin's hustleÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"I thought Moon hustled today on several occasions and the one that stood out was when we were down on the defensive end and she fumbled the ball, laid on the floor, and just threw it over her head to [Alexis] Morris. Morris missed it I think and [Ursin] sprinted down from being on the floor and got two offensive rebounds. We didn't convert, but she hustled back down there to do that."

Junior Kalani Brown
On her performance today and shootingÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"Today, I was a little off offensively. I guess I got in a little slump, but I managed to pick it up, tried to get my rebounds up and do what I could. I was in a little slump, but tried to pull it out in the second half and I felt like I shot better in the second half."

Senior Kristy Wallace
On how they played after coming back from the breakÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I think we came out well, we ran the floor really hard, especially with Morris at the point to begin the game. I think we did have lapses where we defensively weren't really there, but overall we came back ready to play and did really well."

Freshman Didi Richards
On the double-double and crashing the boardsÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I kind of felt I needed to crash the boards because I've been getting yelled at for not rebounding the past couple of games by Coach Mulkey. That's what made me feel I needed to go to the boards."

McNEESE STATE POSTGAME QUOTES

MSU Head Coach Kacie Cryer
Opening StatementÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I was really pleased with our effort today. I thought we came out and really played hard. We wanted to see where we would grow from our game against Texas and I thought we did in small, different ways. Obviously, not on the scoreboard but you credit that to Baylor. They're a very, very good team, number six team in the country for a reason. Much respect for their team and this program and what Coach [Kim] Mulkey's done for the game of basketball."

On how games like this help to prepare for conference playÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"These games are tremendous for us. The environment is something we won't see very much in Southland Conference play. The toughness and having to compete against that size are going to be tremendous for this group."

On defending Kalani BrownÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"I think you just have to pick your poison and we were going to give up the midrange shot and just double her. Just try to make it as difficult as we can. She's six-foot seven, so we were just going to try and dig down and just bother her in that way."
