ATHENS, Ga. ÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬" With a two-set victory on Thursday morning, Baylor women's tennis senior Blair Shankle advanced to the NCAA Singles Championship Round of 16. She bested Ivy League automatic qualifier and No. 119-ranked Kana Daniel of Pennsylvania, 6-3, 6-4, to earn her 11th win in a row and her 13th over a ranked foe.

No. 3-ranked Shankle, the No. 5 overall seed in the bracket, will face No. 19-ranked Ashley Lahey of Pepperdine. Lahey battled for an upset win in three sets, 7-6(2), 5-7, 7-5, over No. 11-ranked Jade Lewis of LSU to advance to the Round of 16.

Shankle enters the match with a 30-4 record and is 13-4 against ranked foes, while Lahey is 31-6 on the season and owns an 11-5 mark against ranked opponents.
