BAYLOR POSTGAME QUOTES

BU Head Coach Kim Mulkey
Opening statementÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"West Virginia, their defense does it all positions. What Oklahoma State did to us wasn't so much on the defensive end, it was what they do offensively. When you have post players and both of them can shoot the three, they pull your bigs out and they expose you there. We just have to keep working with Kalani [Brown], Lauren [Cox] does a better job of guarding on the perimeter. But how many times did you see [Kaylee] Jensen power up to the basket on Kalani? It's hard to do. It was more defense with West Virginia, not that Oklahoma State didn't play defense, but they didn't come down there with two and three and help on the back side where you couldn't get it to her."

On getting second chance shots with offensive reboundsÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"It was very important. I thought Dekeiya [Cohen] gave us some spark there early when we were struggling. You get frustrated at Kalani and you get frustrated at Cox, but I sure am glad they're on our team and the game's over and you look at their stats. So my frustration's more about this: I tell them all the time to whom much is given, much is expected. So I just stay after them because I want them to be just so dominant. We just kept grinding tonight, just like we did at West Virginia. Natalie Chou's threes were huge, it opened it up for us."

On playing a physical gameÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"It was physical and I'm good with physical play, we'll bang with you. We don't have the depth to get in foul trouble, but they have the size that they can bang in there with Kalani and I thought that there were some times that Jensen man-handled Kalani and I challenged her. You try and say everything you can during a timeout to get them motivated and Kalani wasn't in foul trouble and I thought there were a couple instances where she could have taken her one-on-one. We have to look at the film tomorrow and look at a few things."

Senior Dekeiya Cohen
On giving the team a sparkÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"At the beginning of the game Coach told me to go in there and do what I do, which is offensive rebounds, so I knew it was important to do that. I wanted to give them second chance shots, just like you all said. Once you get second chance shots, you start making them, so it definitely helped us out a lot."

Sophomore Lauren Cox
On defending the post playersÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I'm pretty comfortable. We started to switch at the end so they wouldn't pop because that was really killing us. [Loryn] Goodwin is so quick and she can get to the basket, so we started to switch that at the end. I'm comfortable doing it, I think that's one of the things I've really improved at."

OKLAHOMA STATE POSTGAME QUOTES

OSU Head Coach Jim Littell
Opening statementÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I'm proud of our team's effort today. I thought we came in here and competed with one of the best teams in the country. We had our opportunities and played pretty even for three quarters plus. When you play Baylor, you almost have to be perfect, and we didn't hit some shots that we needed to hit. You have to make shots to win against Baylor. It's that simple. You have to hit shots. What they do is not that complex. What they do is sound. To me, they are the [Vince] Lombardi Packers: They run six plays and they run them to perfection. They are very solid about what they're doing. You could look for the difference in the ball game as we gave up 21 offensive boards that resulted in 23 points, and that was the difference in the ballgame."

On if the OSU game plan was just to try and make some shotsÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"Well, that's quite evident. They have some very unique things about their basketball team that's going to allow them to go a long way. First of all, they have a six-foot, seven-inch incredible player and athlete that scores on the box at about 68 percent and makes it very difficult for you to score on the block on the other end. Also, they lead the nation, I think, in field goal percentage defense. And then, they lead our conference in three-point shooting. They don't shoot a lot, but when you cheat off and go to help on Kalani [Brown] or Lauren Cox, they make you pay. [Kristy] Wallace and [Natalie] Chou make you pay, and [Dekeiya] Cohen was very good tonight. They got us to where they posted up Cohen quite a bit of the time, and it created a mismatch for us. West Virginia hit shots against Baylor for three quarters, but you have to hit shots all night long."

On if Baylor's past two games shows their vulnerabilityÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"Well, Baylor is going to get everybody's best shot, too. They're going to get everybody's best shot. I think they're a Final Four team. I do. They're solid at the guard position. They've got long wing players. They're solid at the four. Lauren can not only make shots, but she's a great passer. She gets at the high post and has great touch passing the ball. I think they've got all the ingredients to make a long run. The only weakness I could maybe see is the depth position, but when you don't have much depth, you play your starters all the time, and they're pretty dang good, so I don't know if that's even a weakness all the time."

Junior LaTaisha Jones
On what she saw out there that led to her big gameÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"My teammates just found me open, and I had confidence tonight and knocked them down."

Senior Loryn Goodwin
On how Kristy Wallace and she both struggled while guarding each otherÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I think personally I just need to make more shots. It's all on me. The last couple of games, that's how it's been for me, so not just this game. Credit to her, though, and her whole team for playing pretty solid defense."
