• Baylor travels south down I-35 to Austin to face No. 9 Texas. Since 2010, the series is tied at 4-4 with wins by the Bears at DKR in 2010 and 2014. The game is the first of two straight for BU on the road vs. Top 10 teams.
• Baylor has out-gained its opponents offensively in five of six games in 2018 and is averaging 499.5 ypg.
• Among active FBS players, Jalen Hurd ranks 9th with 3,792 all-purpose yards and 11th with 31 TDs in his career.
• Baylor ranks 12th among Power 5 schools in total offense (499.5 ypg) & 8th among P5 in passing (325.5 ypg).

TEXAS SERIES HISTORY
• Baylor trails the all-time series with Texas 27-76-4, inclduing a 10-46-2 mark in games played in Austin. Since 2010, the series is tied 4-4 with Baylor picking up victories at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in 2010 and 2014.
• Last season, Texas defeated the Bears 38-7 at McLane Stadium as BU was held to only 249 yards of total offense. The game was the first extended action of QB Charlie Brewer's career as he completed 17-of-27 passes.
• The contest will be the third meeting between Baylor's Matt Rhule and Texas head coach Tom Herman. In addition to the Baylor-UT game in 2017, the duo faced off in the 2015 American Athletic Conference Championship game with Herman's Houston squad earning a 24-13 win over Temple.

PLENTY OF BAYLOR DEBUTS IN '18
• After ranking among the top teams in the country to feature freshmen in 2017, Baylor has continued to introduce new players into its lineups in 2018.
• Through six games, Baylor has had 28 players make their first appearances in a Bears' uniform. That total includes 10 true freshmen (Kalon Barnes, Josh Fleeks, Connor Galvin, BJ Hanspard, Christoph Henle, Christian Morgan, Tyquan Thornton, Marje Smith, Craig 'Sqwirl' Williams and JT Woods).
• Additionally, the Bears have had 10 redshirt freshmen, one sophomore, two juniors, two seniors and three graduate transfers appear in a Baylor uniform for the first time.

REDZONE SUCCESS RATE
• Baylor has been impressive when venturing inside the opponent's 20-yard line in 2018, after struggling to score touchdowns in the red zone last season with only 18 touchdowns in 31 trips (45%). That percentage ranked 124th in FBS and last in the Big 12.
• So far in 2018, The Bears are fifth in the Big 12 with a red zone touchdown percentage mark of 66.67% with 16 touchdowns on 24 red zone trips. The Bears have also kicked seven field goals for a near perfect 95.83% scoring tally that ranks 10th in FBS.

BREWER EXCELLENT IN FIRST 10 STARTS
• Sophomore quarterback Charlie Brewer has started Baylor's last 10 games and posted a 5-5 mark in those contests. With Brewer under center, Baylor is averaging 472.9 ypg of total offense over the last 10 games.
• Brewer has passed for 278.9 yards per game with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has completed 66.9 percent of his passes (243-of-363).
• Brewer has completed 68.8 percent of his passes (198-of-288) in seven career Big 12 starts.
• The Austin native have eclipsed 300 yards passing in five of those starts, becoming the fifth player in program history with five games of 300 or more yards passing. He is joined by Bryce Petty, Robert Griffin III, Nick Florence and Seth Russell.
• Brewer has passed for 400+ yards twice, fifth most in BU history (Griffin, Petty, Szymanski, Florence).
