Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew
Opening statementÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I thought West Virginia came in and was really physical and aggressive, and it really bothered us. The first half we turned it over and we missed way too many shots. Their shot blocking really affected the game. We needed to do a much better job of getting into the paint and kicking the ball to open people. I really credit West Virginia for the physicality because it really bothered us."

On essentially losing 19 possessions to blocked shots or turnoversÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"The press and the turnovers are completely different. I think physicality leads to some of those turnovers. The physicality inside leads to the blocks. But I credit them for being aggressive. In the second half, I thought we did a much better job, only turning it over twice."

On if the slow start was shockingÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"I thought we came out a little tired. Again, we were rushed by the physicality and we were unable to handle it properly. We didn't get enough good, better, best looks. We didn't get paint and pass opportunities. Our defense did a good job to hold us in striking range. But in the end, it was too little too late."

Senior Nuni Omot
On seeing his father for the first time since childhoodÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"It was very emotional since I haven't seen him in 21 years, and this was his first time to see me ever play. I really had a lot of emotions seeing him for the first time, and I'm extremely happy he was able to come and see me play. Having him here meant the world to me."

Junior Jake Lindsey
On the uphill battle the team facedÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"We were definitely fighting uphill. When you dig a hole as big as the one we dug you have to expand a lot of energy to cut that lead. You've got to get a little lucky and hope that they miss a shot or two and maybe fumble a ball here and there and catch a turnover and score on the fast break. We didn't convert tonight when they did that, and we didn't do a good enough job taking away their strengths."

On the difference between the game tonight vs. the game at WVUÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"In Morgantown, we were better defensively, and we did a better job contesting shots. They missed a few shots that they made tonight. I thought in Morgantown we were much more physically assertive."

WEST VIRGINIA POSTGAME QUOTES

West Virginia Head Coach Bob Huggins
On the team's defense in the gameÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"Well I wanted them to do it longer than they did it. Scott (Drew) did a great job at halftime. They came out in the second half and took a lot of things away from us. Defensively, we have been pretty good. The first half was as good as we have been this season."

On the four-point play by Daxter Miles, JrÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"I'm glad that it calmed them down because it didn't do anything for me. He has made big plays. He has made big plays since the day he walked on campus.'

On the importance of this winÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"It's really important for us because it gives us the tiebreaker over Baylor. I don't know we have played really well, and then haven't played really well. We have had somethings happen in some games that are out of our control. I'm kind of at a lost today, I haven't recovered by the way."
