MT’s Frantzen Secures Win on Day One of Pre-Qualifying Draw

Sophomore Bear set for third-round matchup on Sunday

TULSA, Okla. – Baylor men's tennis went 1-1 on day one of the pre-qualifying draw at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championship Saturday at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Frantzen received a first-round bye before downing UT Arlington's Eduardo Simo in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, for a spot in the Round of 64. He's matched up against USC's Tanner Smith on Sunday.

Bendeck suffered a 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 loss to St. John's Andrei Crapcenco in the opening round. He'll play a consolation match to close out play in Tulsa Sunday.
