THE RUNDOWN
EVANSTON, Ill. — No. 11 Northwestern took the doubles point and won four singles matches to defeat the Baylor women's tennis team Friday at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center.
The Wildcats snapped a five-match losing skid to Baylor while improving to 5-3 on the season. Meanwhile, Baylor dropped to 5-6 after facing its fourth Top 25 team in the last five matches.
Jessica Hinojosa notched her 50th career singles win for Baylor on the No. 2 court, beating No. 72-ranked Julie Byrne of Northwestern 7-5, 7-6. She improved to 7-3 on the season in singles while teammate Angie Shakhraichuk won a three-set match for her fourth victory of the season

• Baylor junior Jessica Hinojosa won her 50th overall singles match Friday at Northwestern, taking down No. 72-ranked Julie Byrne in two sets.
• Angie Shakraichuk's three-set win was her 30th career victory in dual match play as a Bear.
