Bears look to end five-match skid
URBANA-CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Baylor will look to end a five-match losing skid after a tough stretch Sunday when the Bears play Illinois at the Atkins Tennis Center at 11 a.m.
Four of Baylor's last five losses have come at the hands of Top 25-ranked teams, and the Bears will look to turn their fortune vs. the Illini. Illinois is 3-3 on the season coming into the match with three-straight wins after dropping the first three matches of the season, all to ranked opponents.
Baylor's Jessica Hinojosa is coming off a win on the singles court Friday at No. 11 Northwestern, which was the 50th career of the junior's career. Hinojosa is 8-3 this season for Baylor and has the top singles record on the squad.
Illinois leads the all-time series with Baylor 3-0, but the teams haven't faced one another since 2003.
