- Baylor and Texas met for the 253rd time, the most-played rivalry for either team. BU is 90-163 in the all-time series, including 31-89 in Austin and 15-21 in the Drew era.
- Baylor's 6-game winning streak against Texas was snapped, the longest in series history.
- Baylor also had its 5-game Big 12 winning streak snapped, which tied the longest single-season Big 12 winning streak in program history.
- Baylor is 15-8 against Texas since snapping a 24-game series losing streak in 2009.
