
T&F: Lightfoot Takes Sixth in Pole Vault at “The Match”

McReynolds finishes seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.
WACO, Texas – Baylor sophomore KC Lightfoot recorded a jump of 17-6.5 (5.35m) to place sixth in the men's pole vault Tuesday afternoon at The Match: USA vs Europe in Minsk, Belarus.
Lightfoot connected on his first jump at 5.35, skipped 5.45 and ultimately finished the day attempting the 5.5 mark. The Lee's Summit, Mo., native scored three points for USA with his performance. Mondo Duplantis scored nine points for Europe in winning the event with a mark of 19-2.25 (5.85m).
In the women's 100-meter hurdles, former Baylor All-American Tiffani McReynolds clocked in at 13.13 to take seventh place and score two points for USA. Fellow American Sharika Nelvis won the race with a time of 12.80.

Lightfoot, along will Baylor alum Wil London, will now head to Doha, Qatar, to compete for the United States at the 2019 IAAF World Championships Sept. 28-Oct. 6.
