Bears look to grab win over to the top-ranked Tigers
WACO, Texas – No. 9 Baylor equestrian (3-5, 1-3 Big 12) will travel to face No. 1 Auburn (10-0, 4-0 SEC) in a nonconference matchup on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT at the University Equestrian Center in Auburn, Ala.
"We're looking forward to getting back on the road this weekend," head coach Casie Maxwell said. "Most of our team has never gotten to compete at Auburn, and they are looking forward to being there and having some great competition. We are going up against the defending national champs and are going to battle."
Auburn holds an 11-2 all-time series lead against Baylor with the most recent matchup happening at the 2018 NCEA Championships. BU dropped a 12-3 decision to the second-seeded Tigers in Maxwell's first season.
The Bears look to snap Auburn's 31-meet win streak and secure their first road win against the Tigers.
Auburn, the defending national champions, recently took a 12-8 win at No. 3 Georgia last Saturday.
Baylor looks to get back on track after dropping its last three meets away from Waco, most recently falling 12-8 at No. 7 TCU last Friday.
There will be live scoring for Saturday's contest provided by Auburn, and the link is on the Baylor equestrian schedule page at BaylorBears.com.
