No. 1A&T Takes Tri Meet Over Presbyterian and St. Leo

CLINTON, S.C. – The No. 1 ranked Bears defeated Presbyterian and St. Leo with a score of 275.940 in a tri meet on Monday evening at the Templeton Center.
The Bears jumped out to an early lead after compulsory and never looked back, taking care of business against two first-year programs in Presbyterian and St. Leo.
The Bears (6-0) scored a 38.65 in compulsory and a 29.45 in acro to jump out to a 68.10 lead over St. Leo (60.75) and Presbyterian College (57.75).
In pyramid heat three, the Bears scored their second perfect 10 of the year and first in this event. Elise Manning, Alexis Fowlkes, Aundria Crittenden, Bri Harris and Faith Coor were a part of the perfect 10.
After the break, the Bears came out and scored a 28.95 in the toss event to push their lead to almost 10 points over Presbyterian and 14 over St. Leo with a 126.85 total.
The Bears scored 57.00 in tumbling, led by a score of 9.925 by Tori Harris in the open heat, a week after she scored her first career perfect 10 in the event.
The Bears rounded things out with a 92.09 score in the team event to finish with a total of 275.44 and a victory over Presbyterian (253.829) and St. Leo (151.750). St. Leo was unable to finish their six element pass in the tumbling event or their team event due to injury.
The Bears will next be back in action on Sunday, March 22 at Quinnipiac University for a 2 p.m. CT meet.
