Andrews takes home All-America nod, Gusters named honorable mention
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's basketball 2020 class signees Sarah Andrews and Hannah Gusters were each honored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Monday as High School All-Americans.
Andrews was named to the 10-player All-American Team while Gusters was an honorable mention selection.
Andrews and Gusters are ranked No. 7 and No. 9, respectively on the 2020 ESPN HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings and will be joined by several of the nation's top high school players.
The pair were teammates at Irving MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas where the post, Gusters, averaged 22.1 points and 10.3 rebounds, and the point guard, Andrews, averaged 14.4 points and 6.0 assists.
Gusters and Andrews announced their national letters of intent to play basketball at Baylor Nov. 13.
Each player was named to the Jordan Brand Classic and Gusters was named a McDonald's All-American in February.
