
Bullard and Jones Named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas– Baylor football's Koby Bullard and Marques Jones were named to the 2020 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, it was announced today.
To be eligible for the honor, college football players from all divisions of play must have maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career. An impressive 1,432 players from 364 schools qualified for membership in the Society's 14thyear.
Marques Jones has a 3.92 GPA as an electrical & computer engineering major. A semifinalist for the 2019 William V. Campbell Award, he graduated in May of 2019 with his undergraduate degree and currently is working on a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering while doing research for the Navy in Baylor's Neuromorphic and Robotics Lab.
Jones was the 2018-19 Baylor Engineering Student of the Year, an honor given to the top Baylor engineering student that year. He also earned the 2018 Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award, the Big 12's highest academic honor. Jones is also a three-time Big 12 All-Academic first team honoree (2017, 2018, 2019).
On the field, Jones played in 36 career games, including 11 in 2019. The McKinney, Texas, native came into his own in 2018, tallying a career-high 21 receptions and two touchdowns for the Bears.
Bullard boasts a 3.52 GPA as a management major and is currently pursuing a master's degree in information systems. He appeared in all 14 games in 2020 for the Bears as a fullback. The La Vernia, Texas, native was named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 team for the first time in his career and is a two-time Big 12 All-Academic first team selection (2018, 2019).
For his career, Bullard appeared in 28 total games for the Bears as a fullback, including every game the past two seasons.

- Completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2019;
- Graduated players who have remaining eligibility, but will not return to college play (e.g. declared for NFL Draft or retired from football), may also be nominated.
- Achieved a 3.2 cumulative GPA throughout entire course of undergraduate study
- Met all NCAA mandated progress toward degree requirements; and
- Been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2019 season.
With the addition of Bullard and Jones, the Bears have had 29 Hampshire Honor Society recipients since 2007.
