Bears have won five of last seven meetings with Horned Frogs
WACO, Texas – No. 3 Baylor equestrian (2-1) travels to No. 9 TCU (3-4) on Friday for a 10 a.m. meet at Diamond Creek Ranch in Burleson, Texas.
BU is coming off a strong 12-7 victory over then-No. 5 Texas A&M on Oct. 15 and has since soared to No. 3 in the NCEA Dual Discipline Rankings.
Six Bears are undefeated in their respective events through three meets this season, including Caroline Fuller (Fences and Flat), Gabrielle Marty (Horsemanship) and Nadalee Vasquez (Horsemanship), who are each 3-0. Reiners Jenna Meimerstorf (2-0-1) and Andie Pratt (1-0) have also yet to lose in 2021.
Baylor holds a 23-8 all-time series lead over TCU and has secured wins in five of the last seven meetings with the Horned Frogs. The two sides split last season's contests, with TCU claiming a 12-7 victory in the last matchup on March 11 in Fort Worth and BU winning a narrow 10-9 contest in Waco on Feb. 6.
TCU snapped a three-meet losing streak in its last time out, besting Minnesota Crookston, 15-1, on Oct. 29.
