WACO, Texas – The No. 17-ranked Baylor women's tennis team pushed its Friday match with North Texas to 5:30 p.m. at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center due to inclement weather.
The match, originally scheduled for Noon, will take place at 3 p.m. pending a reassessment of weather conditions Friday morning.
WACO, Texas – The No. 17-ranked Baylor women's tennis team will play host to North Texas Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. The Bears are 7-1 on the season and the Mean Green is 1-2 entering into the match.
Baylor is coming off a 5-2 win over Texas A&M Sunday, which aided in the Bears jumping three spots to No. 17 in the ITA Top 25. North Texas last played Jan. 31, picking up its only win of the season in a 4-1 decision over Sam Houston State. Baylor leads the all-time series with North Texas, 6-0 with the last meeting coming in 1998.
Livia Kraus and Alicia Herrero Linana are leading Baylor this spring in singles play. Both players are undefeated with Kraus carrying a 6-0 mark and Herrero Linana is 4-0. Mel Krywoj has teamed up with Herrero Linana in doubles to collect a 5-1 spring record, and the duo has defeated three ranked opponents thus far.
