
No. 11 WT Hosts No. 32 Oklahoma as Big 12 Homestand Continues

Bears look to begin conference play at 3-0
WACO, Texas – The No. 11-ranked Baylor women's tennis team continues Big 12 play Friday at the Hurd Tennis Center vs. No. 32 Oklahoma at Noon. Baylor (14-2, 2-0) hosts the Sooners (8-2) in the third league contest of the season for the Bears and the Big 12 opener for OU.
Baylor is 23-4 all-time vs. Oklahoma with the Sooners taking the last matchup, March 31, 2019. Oklahoma comes into the contest at 8-2 with its only two losses coming to ranked opponents. The Sooners fell to No. 3 Texas, 4-3, Jan. 30 and to No. 24 Arizona State, 4-3, Feb. 6.
The Bears are coming off a pair of 7-0 wins in their first two Big 12 games vs. Iowa State Friday and West Virginia Sunday. Livia Kraus leads the Big 12 in singles wins with 13 and remains undefeated on the season. Jessica Hinojosa picked up her 80th-career singles victory as a Bear vs. West Virginia, Sunday.
Admission Friday is free and capacity was increased to 50 percent due to new COVID-19 protocols set by the Baylor athletics department Wednesday.
