Bears look to begin conference play at 5-0
WACO, Texas – The No. 7-ranked Baylor women's tennis team resumes Big 12 play Sunday at the Texas Tennis Center vs. No. 2 Texas in Austin at Noon. Baylor (17-2, 4-0) faces the Longhorns (14-1, 4-0) for the third time this season after falling in the previous two meetings.
The Bears and Longhorns had two previous non-conference matchups with Texas winning in Austin, 4-0, Jan. 24, as a part of the ITA Indoor Kick-Off Weekend. The Longhorns came to Waco, March 6, this time with a 6-1 win.
The Bears are coming off a 7-0 home win over Houston in Baylor's final non-conference match of the season Friday. Texas plays Rice Saturday as a tune up before facing the Bears.
