Samone Turner moved into the No. 3 hammer throw performer spot all-time at Baylor
WACO, Texas – On an often-rainy Friday at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium, Baylor track & field completed day one of the Michael Johnson Invitational with some solid performances.
Samone Turner had the highlight of the day in the women's hammer throw, posting a personal-best mark of 166-0 (50.61m) to move into the No. 3 performer spot all-time at Baylor. The senior from DeSoto, Texas, finished seventh.
In the women's open pole vault, Tiffani Peacock placed third with a personal-best jump of 11-10 (3.61m), and Maddy Agnew earned the fifth spot clearing the same bar of 11-10 (3.61m).
Chris Stoudt placed eighth in the men's javelin, recording a throw of 170-0 (51.83m).
The women's 5,000 meters featured two top-10 finishes for Baylor, as Destiny Collins placed sixth with a time of 16:57.58, followed by Lily Jacobs in ninth at 17:17.10.
