Second Place Up for Grabs at No. 10 WT Takes on Texas Tech

WACO, Texas – The No. 10-ranked Baylor women's tennis team will head to Lubbock Sunday to face Texas Tech at 2 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center. The Bears (20-3, 7-1) will be looking to cap off the season with just one league loss with a win over Texas Tech (15-6, 6-2) ensuring at least a second place finish in the Big 12 standings for Baylor.

The Bears fell to Texas March 28 in Austin for the team's only blemish in Big 12 play. If Texas Tech were to play spoiler, the two teams would tie for second in the standings.

The Red Raiders fell to No. 2 Texas at home Friday, 4-1 with the Longhorns clinching at least a share of the Big 12 regular season championship. Texas faces TCU in Fort Worth Sunday at 11 a.m. If the Horned Frogs were to pull off the upset and Baylor beats Texas Tech, it would allow the Bears to share the regular-season crown with Texas.

Baylor is coming off three-straight road wins, most recently, a 5-2 win at TCU on Wednesday.
