Carrollton, Texas – The Baylor men's golf team will open their 2021-2022 season at the 2021 Maridoe Collegiate Invitational, Monday morning, at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.
The fifteen-team field boasts eight squads that finished last season in the top-25 of the NCAA Division I men's Golfstat rankings.
Head Coach
Mike McGraw is entering his eighth season at the helm of the Baylor program. He knows his team will get a strong test at Maridoe right out of the box and he's looking forward to seeing how they perform.
"We are so excited for the new season and we will have some younger players in the line-up," he said. "Our guys are all enthusiastic to get going. Our fall schedule is the toughest in my years at Baylor, which is good to see"
McGraw returns a lineup led by junior
Johnny Keefer who was named a Golfweek third-team All-American in 2021. Keefer's 73.17 stroke average in 2020-2021 leads all returners. Keefer will anchor the lineup going off the first tee at 11:40 am.
Redshirt Senior
Mark Reppe also returns for a 6th season of competition with 63 rounds of experience under his belt and will tee off at 11:30 a.m..
Sophomore
Trey Bosco will tee off at 11:20 a.m., aiming to take on a bigger role in the lineup this year after playing ten rounds as a freshman in 2020-2021. Bosco notched a career-best t-9 finish at the Rice Intercollegiate.
Junior Luke
Dossey will play out of the four spot at Maridoe. Dossey is coming off a season where he played in five events, highlighted by a 3rd place finish at the Aggie Invitational.
Decorated freshman
Drew Wrightson will make his collegiate debut this week. Wrightson the top junior player out of the state of Indiana will tee off at 11:00 a.m. off the first tee.
The 54-hole event runs from Monday through Wednesday and will be televised on Golf Channel each day from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CDT. Live Stats can also be found,
