George is the fifth McDonald’s All-American in program history
WACO, Texas– Baylor men's basketball signee Keyonte George has been named a McDonald's All-American, as announced Tuesday on ESPN.
George is the fifth player in program history to be named a McDonald's All-American, joining Tweety Carter, Perry Jones III, Isaiah Austin and Kendall Brown.
A Lewisville, Texas, native, George is one of 24 players from more than 760 nominees to be named to the team. He is one of six McDonald's All-Americans signed to play for Big 12 teams.
A 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard, George is the No. 3-ranked player in the 2022 class by ESPN, making him the highest-ranked recruit in program history. George, who currently plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., was also named MVP of the 2021 3x3 U18 World Cup while playing for USA Basketball.
The men's McDonalds All-American game will be held March 29 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. For tickets to the event, click here.
