Bears trek to Aggieland for an NCAA Regional course preview
WACO, Texas – Baylor cross country will get a preview of the NCAA South Central Regional course on Saturday morning as the squad runs in the Arturo Barrios Invitational in Bryan-College Station.
The men's 8k will begin at 9 a.m., while the women's 6k is scheduled to follow at 9:45 at the Watts Cross Country Course.
Ryan Hodge, Ryan Day, Devin Duran, Drew Snyder, Caleb Ackman and Ethan Wrase return to action for the Bears, while Kade Hulett makes his season debut Saturday morning. Noah Monroy, a grad transfer from UC San Diego, will dawn the green and gold for the first time.
Running for the Baylor women will be Chloe Gangnath, Sophia Leidner, Hayden Gold, Jordan Ledington, Cate Urbani, Taylor Whitfield and Ellie Hodge. Anna Garner will be competing for the first time this season, while Lily Williams, a track All-American, competes in her first distance event.
The Bears are coming off the Gans Creek Classic, held Sept. 30, where the women posted a 34-second split between the scoring runners and Day finished ninth in the men's 8k.
