
VB Chosen as No. 4 Seed in Louisville NCAA Tournament Region

Bears will host First and Second Rounds in Waco
WACO, Texas – The Baylor volleyball team was chosen as the fourth regional seed, 15th overall, in the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Tournament, announced Sunday night on ESPNU.
This is the Bears' seventh-straight appearance in the big dance, all under head coach Ryan McGuyre, and the 11th overall bid to the NCAA Tournament.
BU is 10-6 in the NCAA Tournament under McGuyre and 13-10 overall going into the First and Second rounds.
Baylor made it to the National Semifinal in the 2019 season and the Regional Semifinal in both 2020 and 2021.
The tournament consists of four regions with 16 teams in each region. Regional play will be hosted by the top 16 seeds in the tournament.
Baylor (23-6), as one of the top 16 seeds, will host Stephen F. Austin, Colorado and (5) Rice for the First and Second Round matches in the Ferrell Center. Starting Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Colorado will take on Rice, followed by the Bears versus Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. The winners of the Thursday matches will advance to the Second Round, which will take place Friday at 7 p.m.
The other four teams in Baylor's section of the bottom-right quadrant of the bracket are (8) Purdue, Tennessee, Samford and (1) Louisville. The winners of both the Louisville and Waco rounds will move on to the Regionals portion of the tournament.
