
Bickle leads WBB Fourth-Quarter Rally to 64-42 Rout of TCU

WACO, Texas – Caitlin Bickle had a team-leading 19 points to lead No. 23/22 Baylor women's basketball to a 64-42 win over TCU in its conference lid-lifter, its 34th consecutive win over the Horned Frogs, on Saturday afternoon at the Ferrell Center.
Baylor (10-3, 1-0 Big 12) won the fifth of its last six games, and stretched its winning streak over TCU to 34 straight games, using a furious finish that saw the Bears score the first 15 points of the fourth quarter and rip off a 17-0 run. Overall, the Bears outscored TCU 27-11 in the fourth quarter.
Bickle, a graduate student out of Cave Creek, Ariz., led the way for the Bears, notching her second consecutive double-figure scoring effort and her sixth of the year. She tied her career high with by going 3-of-4 from behind the arc, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists on 8-of-12 shooting.
Sarah Andrews added 14 points, including three 3-pointers. Ja'Mee Asberry chipped in 16 points with four assists and three boards.
The Horned Frogs were forced into 23 turnovers and made just 14 baskets from the field, going 1 for 11 from 3-point range. Baylor won the battle of the boards, 35-29, featuring 11 offensive rebounds, while adding 26 points in the paint.
The Bears used a 10-0 run to take a 20-8 lead with eight minutes left in the second quarter, with the run featuring a pair of Bickle 3-pointers. The lead went to 26-18 at half, with TCU forced into 14 turnovers and just five made baskets, with Baylor shooting 40 percent with 16 points off those 14 TCU turnovers.
TCU (6-6, 0-1 Big 12) scored 11 of the first 15 points to open the second half to cut the lead to 30-29 with 6:10 left in the third. Baylor then held the Frogs to just two points over the remainder of the quarter to take a 37-31 lead into the fourth.
The Bears stretched the game open with a 17-0 run – including the first 15 points of the fourth quarter – using a pair of 3-pointers from Andrews and seven points from Bickle to help build a 21-point lead.
The Bears will return to action on Tuesday, traveling to face No. 20/18 Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., at 6 p.m. with the game broadcast live on ESPN+ and on the Baylor Sports Network from Learfield.
