BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Baylor track and field brought its indoor season to a close at the NCAA DI Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex. The men's and women's 4x400-meter relays were the only events with Bear participants.
The men's 4x400, comprised of
Dillon Bedell,
Hasani Barr,
Nathaniel Ezekiel and
Matthew Moorer, found an 11
th-place finish in the event with their 3:08.59 race.
Howard Fields III originally qualified as the anchor for the event but sat out due to an injury agitated during his 400-meter competition Friday afternoon.
Kavia Francis,
Imaobong Uko,
Gontse Morake and
Mariah Ayers carried the baton for Baylor on the women's side, finishing in ninth place. Their time of 3:35.79 was shy of an All-American honor by just under eight-tenths of a second.
Baylor officially opens up its outdoor season next Friday and Saturday at the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas.
