Bears move to 4-2 in Big 12 play

STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 22 Baylor (13-6, 4-2) fell, 5-2, to No. 11 Oklahoma State (12-3, 3-1) Sunday afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Cowgirls started out with the 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point. No. 49 Martina Zerulo and Mhai Sawangkaew topped Anita Sahdiieva and Ana Carmen Zamburek, 6-3, before No. 14 Ayumi Miyamoto and Lisa Marie Rioux defeated No. 5 Mel Krywoj and Alicia Herrero.
In singles, Oklahoma State took a 2-0 lead before Krywoj put the Bears on the board. The senior, who won her first set, 6-2, got the win on court three when Zerulo retired.
The Cowgirls then won three-straight singles matches to clinch the overall victory. However, Sahdiieva finished the match off strong for the Bears.
The freshman won the third-set tiebreaker over OSU's Miyamoto to win, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8, on court five.

No. 22 Baylor returns to Waco after back-to-back weekends on the road. With nothing on the schedule for the first weekend in April, the Bears will be back in action against Kansas State and Kansas on April 8 and 10, respectively.
