
No. 5 EQ Finishes Out Regular Season in California

Bears to face No. 8 Fresno State, UC Davis on the weekend
WACO, Texas – No. 5 Baylor equestrian (5-5, 2-3) is set to finish its regular-season schedule with a pair of road matchups in California this weekend.
The Bears face No. 8 Fresno State (5-7, 1-4) for a 1 p.m. CT contest on Friday, March 4, at the Student Horse Center in Fresno, Calif. Then, BU will round out its road trip with a 1 p.m. CT matchup against UC Davis (2-6) on Saturday, March 5, at the UC Davis Equestrian Center.
BU is coming off a 13-5 win against South Carolina on Senior Day. The Bears swept both Fences and Horsemanship in the dominating victory.
Eighteen different Bears have recorded points this season, including Madaline Callaway (Reining), Emma Fletcher (Flat), Jenna Meimerstorf (Reining) and Andie Pratt (Reining), who are each undefeated in their respective events in Big 12 play.
Additionally, four Bears boast one-loss Big 12 records headed into the weekend in Fletcher (Fences), Caroline Fuller (Fences), Dominika Silvestri (Fences and Flat) and Nadalee Vasquez (Horsemanship).
Baylor has claimed 21 of 40 individual events this year, while outscoring opponents 29-19 in Fences, 25-23 in Horsemanship and 28-15 in Reining.
BU is traveling to UC Davis for the first time in program history. The Bears claimed the only previous matchup against the Aggies, 14-2, in Waco on October 5, 2019.
Baylor holds a 14-5 advantage in the all-time series with Fresno State. Previously this year, BU bested the Bulldogs, 13-5, in Waco. Pratt and Silvestri earned their first-career Most Outstanding Performer honors in the meet.
