A&T Named No. 1 Seed in NCATA National Championship Field

Bears earn No. 1 seed for program’s fifth time
EUGENE, Ore. – Baylor acrobatics & tumbling was named No. 1 in the final NCATA rankings, also serving as the seeding of the 2022 National Championship field, the organization announced Monday.

The Championships are hosted by the University of Oregon at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene. The eight-team, single-elimination tournament begins on Thursday, April 28.

It is the BU program's fifth time being named the No. 1 seed, all coming under head coach Felecia Mulkey.

With the announcement of the final top 10 team rankings/seedings, the Bears (8-0) learned they would face No. 8 Converse (9-3) in the first round on April 28, with start time set for 6:30 p.m. CT.

The Valkyries are led by head coach Keegan Johnson, a Baylor acrobatics & tumbling alumna.

The quarterfinal matchups of the NCATA Championships will be the winners of the No. 3/No. 6 matchup and the No. 2/No. 7 matchup, and the No. 1/No. 8 vs. No. 4/No. 5 matchup. These meets are slated for Friday, April 29, with the championship meet falling on Saturday, April 30.
