Outside hitter earns first conference honor
IRVING, Texas – Baylor volleyball's Kendal Murphy earned the Big 12 Freshman of the Week accolade after recording a season-high 12 kills in the upset of Houston.
The outside hitter has upped her season-high kills three matches in a row.
Murphy's 12 kills against the Coogs was her first double-digit match of the season. She had a hitting percentage of .458 against UH and only had one error.
The Arizona native has now amassed 35 kills on the season.
Baylor will face seventh-seeded James Madison on Thursday, Nov. 30, in Lexington, Ky., at Rupp Arena in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m. CT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
