Jay Crain adds value to Football Creative ‘just by being in the room’

An ultimate teammate, Jay Crain adds value to the Baylor Football Creative Services team "just by being in the room."
"You are tested every single day, and you continue to take those tests and turn them into successful challenges," said Hanna Kotlarek, Senior Director of Football Visual Media. "You take pride in every single thing that you do. You inspire everyone on our creative team, and you make better students, better leaders and better creatives.
Recognized for welcoming vulnerability and accountability, Jay joined the Baylor Athletics staff in July of 2021 and is responsible for video, photography, graphics and social media for Baylor Football.
"You're such a selfless leader and a great fit for our department," said Max Calderone, Associate Director of Athletics Communications. "You have this innate ability to execute and bring ideas to life. You create some really cool content that not only engages with our fans, but it connects with our players and enriches the Baylor brand."
Justin Hoff, Associate AD for Creative Services, said what Crain does for Baylor Football Creative is "exceptional."
"We talk about it all the time – the best ability is availability," Hoff said, "and you certainly maximize that. Whether it's a text at 11, 12 o'clock at night, you're always there. We're just super-grateful to have you on this team."
As part of Baylor Football's travel party and support team, Jay makes "every road trip more valuable," Calderone said.
"Just super thankful to have worked with you these past two football seasons," Max said. "You fit into the person over player culture so well, and you weave that into all your work pretty seamlessly."
Psalm 19:23 reads: "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts."
Congrats, Jay, on the way that you continue to welcome vulnerability and accountability every day in your very demanding role.
